How To: Revamp a Crystal Necklace

Last Sunday, Suze and I went on a craft expedition to revamp crystal necklaces and make the sparkly statement pieces something for everday wear. I found a lot of inspiration on Pinterest and from Spike the Punch jewelry, and I decided to nail polish my necklace red and pink. Both are colors I rarely wear, so I thought it would be a great way to incorporate them into my outfits. I also coordinated the earrings that came with the necklace, and I can wear them together or separate.




I got the necklace and matching earrings as a set at Claire's for $9.25, then painted over some stones with Essie Off the Shoulder and Essie First Dance. It was easy to do - just two coats of color and a clear top coat - and we finished under half an hour.
