One of my favorite local restaurants that has somehow come up in conversation a lot recently, is Tom & Chee. For those of you not in my neck of the woods, it stands for Tomato and Cheese, as in grilled cheese and tomato soup. So it's the ultimate comfort food-take me back to my childhood restaurant.
Tom & Chee has been featured on Man vs. Food and Amazing Eats on the Travel Channel. Here's a link to the menu, because there is really too much to explain. Whenever I go, my mind is kind of blown, and it's great.

When Boyfriend stopped by for a casual date night before a movie, I got the BBQ+Bacon grilled cheese and Classic tomato soup. The sandwich was wonderful (with Grippos chips no less) albeit a little salty. I usually prefer a creamier tomato soup, but it was full of flavor and wasn't lacking in anything.
